Winter festivals are now being held in most capital cities and are a wonderful way to enjoy Europe's favourite winter pasttimes without the price tag.
Winter Festival is a national event to be held over 3 weeks during June and July this year. It’s a wintery wonderland styled on European winter markets which will be held in iconic locations in Brisbane, Sydney, Canberra and Perth.
Each Winter Festival will host a wide range of snow and ice related activities including open air ice skating, powder snow pits, toboggan rides and European style pop up food stalls, live music, professional ice skating performances and interactive fun and games.
With its wide range of activities, romantic European styling and loads of food and beverage options, Winter Festival will appeal to all ages.

Winter activities abound in Melbourne with fun things to do all over the city.
At Fed Square, celebrate The Light in Winter’s 10th anniversary with a vibrant program of art, music and performance from dusk. Then get your skates on to visit the only outdoor ice rink in the heart of Melbourne City as River Rink in Fed Square makes an exciting return! There's also a giant ice slide at Southbank, and at the Queen Vic Market enjoy hearty food, mulled wine, jazz and the free night market cinema.
