2017 is the 21st Anniversary of the National Multicultural Festival!
For three days in mid-February, Canberra plays host to one of Australia's biggest celebrations of cultural diversity.
The annual National Multicultural Festival begins in the centre of town on Friday 17th February and is a fun, free, family-friendly event that includes activities, shows, food stalls, dancing, and celebrations all weekend. Stallholders sell food and drink, but there are no entry fees.
The National Multicultural Festival began in 1996 and has since evolved into the biggest occasion on Canberra’s event landscape. Over the course of the last 21 years it has developed into the 3-day Festival it is now, which allows Canberrans, national and international visitors alike to congregate in Canberra over one weekend for what is one of the biggest celebrations of cultural diversity across Australia.
