Communities helping communities AA A

The floods in northern NSW resulting from ex-cyclone Debbie have impacted terribly on local families and businesses.

Many Australians saw images of the flood waters rising up the sides of houses and businesses.  But what we didn't see much of in the news was the actual affect on communities.  Many people have lost all the basics: clothes, blankets, first-aid equipment.  And what they haven't lost is wet!

You can help in a very simple way

Early childhood educators and families from 2016's NSW Early Childhood Service of the Year, Rainbow Station Early Education Centre in Casino and their sister centre Sandcastles Early Education Centre in Evans Head have themselves been affected by the floods. Despite their own hardships, both centres have become collection points for donations for locals in need.

To help, simply send them a care package in a mail bag and the amazing educators will take it directly to people in Lismore who need it.

Items most in need are:Care Pack

  • New underwear and socks (all sizes)
  • Toiletries
  • Sanitary items
  • Heavy duty garbage bags
  • First-aid supplies ( gloves , bandages ect )
  • Winter clothes
  • Blankets & towels
  • Kids winter pyjamas (all sizes)
