Mitchell Early Learning Centre is a highly regarded not-for-profit, community based, early childhood education and care centre. Located on the campus of Charles Sturt University in Bathurst, the centre is rated as exceeding the National Quality Standards across all quality areas. Sixty-two babies and children are welcomed into the program every day. They enjoy high staff to child ratios while experiencing an educational and nurturing environment within a spacious, purpose built setting. The well-equipped, naturally lit classrooms open onto an extensive outdoor play space providing a great environment as the third teacher. Key to the centre’s success is the close working relationships that staff have built and nurtured with families, the management committee and the community.

As the centre director you will lead and manage the operations of this highly successful early learning community. As an innovative and visionary leader you will have a vision for children and families and the capacity to create a vibrant future for the centre. As an inclusive leader you will build on the strengths and achievements of a well-qualified cohort of educators; harnessing their energy, enthusiasum and commitment to early education and the learning centre. Reporting directly to the management committee you will play an integral role in setting the strategic direction of the centre ensuring continued quality practice and responsive service delivery.
